Junior Tennis

At Madison Racquet and Swim Club we use the USTA Net Generation format which provides a unique opportunity for younger players to be introduced to the fundamentals of the game. The courts, rackets and nets have been resized for children who are learning the game. Special balls with varying compression have been designed for different levels starting with the red ball and progressing through orange and green dot to the yellow ball and a full sized court. This makes it easier to play and learn proper techniques.

Our goal for all levels in our junior program is to have fun, learn the fundamentals of the game and advance to the next level by working hard. Our three levels of development include recreational, introduction to competitive tennis, and competitive tennis. Please contact us if you have any questions.

Junior Development

These players are encouraged to play USTA Junior Team Tennis and Mad Team Matches.

UTR MAD Team Tennis

Universal Tennis Rating is new rating system to the tennis world widely used by colleges for recruiting. A player’s UTR rating can go up or down based on the matches they play as well as the level of the player they play against.  It’s a great way to develop match play skills with other players in our Junior Development Program, 10 & Under USTA Team, and ATP programs.  Compete against others in the club.
