MRSC offers competitive swim clinics to not only help athletes refine and improve their strokes, turns and starts, but to also learn and understand the fundamentals of how to effectively move through the water.

SLAC Summer Stroke Clinics
6-10 yrs & 9-12 yrs

This program is open to all swimmers looking to work on stroke technique and refinement while building a level of fitness.  Classes will focus on all four competitive strokes, turns and starts.  Each week is designed with a different stroke focus!  Sign up for one or sign up for all!  A minimum of 5 participants must be registered to run the class.

SLAC Years Summer Pre-Season Training 
13 + yrs        

This program is open to all competitive swimmers interested in maintaining and building a level of fitness for the upcoming competitive swim season. This program provides not only an opportunity to improve overall fitness and technique, but also the opportunity to meet other swimmers and build team morale before the season starts.

Classes will be broken into dryland training, mental training, and swim training. Swimmers should bring a cap, suit, goggles, sneakers, water bottle, towel, yoga mat, notebook and writing utensil. We will need a minimum of 5 participants to run the class.

American Red Cross Lifeguard Certification

 

In this course you will learn about teamwork, rescue and surveillance skills, First Aid, and CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer along with other important skills necessary to work as a professional lifeguard.  Successful completion results in a 2-year American Red Cross Certification in Lifeguarding which includes First Aid/CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer.  A minimum of 3 participants needed.  Email instructor Suzanne Fuller with questions.

  Prerequisites
• At least 15 years old as of last day of class
• Able to swim at least 300 yds. continuously using front crawl and breast       stroke with rotary breathing
• Able to tread water for 3 minutes
• Able to retrieve a 10-pound object from a depth of 7-12 feet

Full Certification : $395

April Course: April 8-12 10:00am-3:00pm

May Course: May 24 4:00pm-8:00pm & May 25-27 8:00am-4:00pm

Recertification: $195

April Course: April 13-14 1:00pm-5:00pm

May Course: May 27 8:00pm-4:00pm

June Course: June 8 & 15 2:00pm-6:00pm

 

A $50 deposit is due at the time of booking. Cancellations require at least 1 week advance notice for a refund, less a 5% cancellation fee.
